The angle of the light was superbly seen and captured. The whole scene rises to a new level when viewed this way.

Beautiful and touching!My stepfather survived the beaches at Normandy,was capture and escaped from a german camp and later died of cancer some 40years later here at home.So this pic
has roots with me.

Nicely presented and nicely composed. I think there is something about spots like this that draws us to them. As a father with a son currently in Afgahnastan I thank you for the tribute.
