Glastonbury, Connecticut, USA - Cotton Hollow Preserve. One of many falls in the stream. Persistent cold weather left ice on many of the rocks hovering over the water flowing beneath. Enjoy!

An interesting looking scene Thad and nice capture. I like the water flow in the shot and the textures and colours in the lichen covered rocks.

Nice work, Thad. Looks like the water is moving quickly, but that belies the fact that it is really cold to which the crystalline icy patches bear witness. Nice shutter speed on this one.

Merry Christmas Thad, this is a glorious shot. (Of course I'm a wee bit partial to flowing water images.) Detail in shadows and in the bright snow, lovely smoothing of the water without losing details, rich tones and perfectly offcentred composition. Love it.

Excellent work here, Thad! The rocks and water are nicely positioned within the frame for a pleasing composition, and the exposure is spot-on, creating a beautifully lit scene. I love the soft flowing water swirling around the hard, sharply detailed ice formations. A marvelous find and great winter photo!

What a great shot. I love the rock "islands" surrounded by lacy ice. The extra treat is the soft water flowing through the rocks. Simply wonderful.
