Glastonbury, Connecticut, USA - Cotton Hollow Preserve. Near the far edge of one of the larger falls, a protruding rock produced a fountain spray of water that created this ice cap. I see a beetle - what do you see? Enjoy!

Very different kind of beetle. :) Thad, this is a beautiful flow photo, in a crystal world.

Good title, Thad. It does look like an "ice beetle".

Judging from the Ring around it I too see a Beatle. :)
A fine capture of Mother Nature doing some of her best sculpturing, if that is a word, Thad.

It must be George Martin your seeing, it looks nothing like the four mop-tops.
A good capture of the water flow and ice cap Thad. Nice details and colours.

Didn't know that beetles did prefer an icecold fridge, Thad, lol.
My imagination is not that large, so I see only a wonderful photograph!

Regards, Cornelius.

Oh, you didn't mean VW? Yes I see a beetle with grasshopper legs. I love the blue of the water and the slow shutter shot.

This is great Thad, the smoothed and the frozen water, the lovely dark quality to the tones all working to show us a common element in an uncommon way, fascinating. Perhaps the crop at the top is bit cramped, a bit too close to the top of the frozen water, but I like a lot of space around my subjects so maybe that's just me. A few water droplets on your lens also, easy enough to clone them out to make this great shot even closer to perfect.

A terrific composition, Thad, and a magical image. I love the cold, blue ice and rushing water. The ice cap is a marvelous bit of nature's artwork, well captured in this photo. Very nicely done, once again.
