Middletown, Connecticut, USA - Wadsworth Falls Park. Controlling the water flow of the Coginchaug River as it approaches the larger falls, a stone sluiceway was built, channeling the water to a fast flow. Add the cold of winter and the result is a frozen mass surrounding the violent water. Enjoy!

It is quite fascinating to see that even fast flowing water can slowly freeze up. Very nice shot of this rather unusual phenomena Thad.

You need JimboB to put one of his Polar Bears in this scene Thad. It would be right at home. Cool, I mean really cool, make that cold shot.

WOW! A terrific capture and yes it could use a couple of JimBobs bears to add to the wonder. Where were you standing when you snapped this shot, I always wonder?

Another marvelous shot, Thad! Nature's created her own little ice palace on the river. Extraordinary detail, and the light is perfect. I also like the slightly warmer hues in this shot, which seem to add just a touch of magic to this scene. Nicely done!

Another great exposure shot Thad. Good details and textures in the photo. How long did you stand in the stream to get this shot? Good work.

Beautiful detail in the ice, and the slow exposure give the flow of the water a look that I love to see. Very nice work, Thad.

It's fascinating to see all the forms and shapes turned to ice created by the touch of water!
