Cromwell, Connecticut, USA. From the November bin, this is an early morning view of the Connecticut River as the sun begins to clear the fog. (That is fog in the image, not HDR glow.) Enjoy!
Terrific capture Thad. The wood logs with thick rope wrapped about them really makes the photo in my mind. Plus I like the blue thin mist rising over the river on a very chilly morning. A+++
The words stunning and beautiful spring to mind on seeing this photo Thad. I might just use them in my comments, but no promises. You get the big WOW for this one. I wouldn't complain too much even if that were HDR glow, it really adds to the image whatever its source. I just might borrow some for my own personal use. It goes without saying that that is a fantastic reflection you wedged into the shot. Some right pretty lighting as well. Composition, clarity and colours; this seems to have them all where you need them.
Very nice, Thad, with the leaves upon the water and the clouds in the water. The fog on the water looks very much like ice. Maybe I'm making the image colder than it actually is.
Really a nice photo, Thad! The light fog and the terrific blue tones add a magical touch to this placid river scene. I love the early morning sunlight and the old pilings in the foreground. Well done!
