Great Egret

Middlefield, Connecticut, USA. By the pond at Lyman Orchard, this Great Egret was looking for lunch on the far side of the pond, but didn't like two people and their dog getting close. So the bird flew across the pond in front of me, and landed close by. I had the 70-200 with a 2x magnifier on the camera, so this was one of the captures. Enjoy!

Have tried it many times, but I've never succeeded in capturing an egret in flight in such a wonderful way. My compliments, Thad.

Lucky for you the Egret decided to fly right in front of you. It's great when large birds do just that. Excellent capture, Thad.
