Juneau, Alaska, USA. The Mendenhall Glacier is one and a half miles wide. Through some fog over the Mendenhall Glacier, it is difficult to comprehend the scale of the scene in this photo looking across the glacier unless you spot the helicopter. FInd it and you realize just how large are the glacier and surrounding mountains. Enjoy!

I think I see it. If what I see is it, these mountains and glaciers are huge. It looks good in vertical, Thad.
Wonderful post.

Thad, thought at first sight that it was some dust on your lens or chip, lol.

Very impressive indeed. A wonderful image!

Immense size really brought to the forefront by that speck of a helicopter.

Thought I saw the heli, but it turned out to be a dirt speck on my monitor. Can't find it so this must be massive. Amazing too!

So I found the heli and the bird; sadly Waldo is still missing. An immense scene and great landscape.
