Waterford, Connecticut, USA. What leaves this large tree may have had were salt burned and windblown away by the tropical storm several weeks earlier. This couple had enjoyed sitting beneath the tree, looking out over the Long Island Sound, enjoying the view and each other's company. Enjoy!

Two lifetimes of memories walking up the hill from the tree that has even more memories. Lots of nostalgia in this one Thad.

The colors and textures and patterns are so beautiful here. The older couple and the bench are a perfect part of this image. Such beauty. Faved.

It doesn't look like the couple had any idea you were taking their picture. Excellent seaside shot, Thad. Beautifully done, as usual.

The old tree and the green in the grass, the light blue sky and of course the couple you were there at just the right moment. Lovely photo.

My favorite shots tell a story. This is the equivalent of a Norman Rockwell painting. Very beautiful, telling, introspective and insightful. I think black and white might also have worked, but this one's a keeper.

This is Stella and Ernie Wittmeyer, notorious bank-robbers from the sixties. She just busted him out of prison as he's still wearing his prisoner uniform. They are clearly pacing off the distance from the tree where they buried the treasure some 50 years ago. Once they have the loot they'll be fleeing for Mexico.

A great looking scene and wonderful capture, Thad.

1. I have taken the liberty to add one cred to Wendell for his funny comment. I do love such detached attitide and English sense of humour which some people find morbid LOL
2. I do love this image with all my sentimental Slavonic soul nevertheless LOL
