College Fjord, Alaksa, USA. In the late afternoon, the clouds cast nice shadows on the landscape, while the clouds blew across the ice fields that feed Harvard Glacier starting twenty miles inland among the rugged barren rock mountains that rise over a mile above sea level. The green scrub brush covering the rocky mountains aside the glacier help draw out the color of the medial moraines. The distance across the glacier is 1.5 miles wide and the face rising over two hundred feet above the water's surface. Enjoy!

My nephew is going on an Alaskan cruise in September Thad. I hope he gets half as many good shots as you did.
Another beauty.

Nice range of tones throughout this, Thad. Can't say I like the border, though I know why you add it. It attracts to much attention.

Wow how fantastic! I am desperate to see a glacier and this one is amazing! Beautifully composed and framed too! I love the almost white water with the ice floating in it. A mesmerising picture!

Some people have Gurus, I have my camera. Through the cam lenses I have learnt to deeply perceive life, not only to see, but to look at all expressions of nature, becoming able to read the poetry of the flowers, receiving the embrace of the trees and flying above the clouds without wings! - Susie Sun
