Cromwell, Connecticut, USA. Bloodroot, Sanguinaria canadensis, is a perennial that grows near our old trumpet vine. Spring blooms, about 1.5 inches in size, have brightened the garden for many years. Hopefully, they can brighten your desktop as well. Enjoy! (EXIF: 100mm Macro, f/8.0, 1/1000, ISO 125, EV -1)

A great closeup on the bloodroot, Thad. Very nice lighting, details and colours in the photo. Excellent focus work.

Your flower photography is seriously perfect, Thad. I remember the good old days when a bunch of us on Caedes used to laugh behind your back at your flower postings. The detail is magnificent. I give this shot a 9.5 out of 10, a fave and an AC nomination. You would have got a 10, but there is a small white reflection in the background just to the right of bottom petal of the premier flower. Brilliant posting.

It is like a singing trio and the one in the middle has the spotlight Thad. Your selective focusing works that magic.
