Denali National Park, Alaska, USA. From the bin - even from a distance of fifty miles, Denali is huge. Looking across the taiga, then past rugged 5-6000 foot high mountains, Denali stands 20,328 feet high, with even greater breadth. Enjoy!

The visibility must have been extremely good when you took this Thad. Wonderful and impressive photo of the snow covered mountain.

Thanks for the narrative to go with this great shot! Makes it even more impressive to look at it and think about those numbers, what a place!

You've taken this wonderful image probably during your trip to Alaska last year, Thad. I suppose that you've taken so many images then, that it was unavoidable to put some in the bin. It's nice however that, after peeking trough it, you gave this image a second change, because it's very worth to do so.

Regards, Cornelius.

A magnificent shot of a magnificent mountain Thad.
It sure is a big one!
Mt Cook is our highest mountain at just over 12,000, and I am trying to imagine that extra height.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I'm glad there are a few more Alaska images to share Thad and this beauty deserves out of the bin.
