Aruba North Shore - In 1824, gold was discovered on Aruba. The London Mining Company built this building on the north coast in 1890 to smelt the ore and store the gold, incorporating it into the large rock outcropping. It was built like a fort to disguise its contents from passing ships, notably those of pirates. Enjoy!

Nice one, Thad. Good combination of verticals, diagonals, and great banks of heavy but pure white clouds. A most interesting combination.

This one looks like something from the old west! Maybe Arizona or New Mexico or somewhere. Excellent shot, Thad. Love the rocks and the detail in them. Beautiful sky again!
