Williamsburg, VA, USA. Built in the 1771, its notable feature is the massive cantilevered pediment. Throughout its life, it was significantly altered, and served a variety of purposes, including a Confederate hospital during the Civil War. In 1932, it was restored and opened as part of the Colonial Williamsburg museum. In 1989, the interior was restored to its 18th Century appearance, based on historical and archeological research.

The Court House looks like it has been very well taken care over the centuries. I like the angle as well as the detail. The wooden barrel caught my eye too. Excellent capture, Thad.

The original Court House doesn't look as ornate as some that followed in our country Thad.
Another good taste of history.

Whenever I hear the word "court" and and think of it as to colonial days, I automatically think of long white wigs. Just my bizarre mind at work. Great looking shot of the courthouse, Thad.

I recall seeing people dressed in period costumes when I visited Williamsburg. They add so much to the experience. Nice one, Thad.

A very beautiful walk down a historical street and area. They sure knew how to build gorgeous buildings. Excellent capture with such marvelous detail and colours
