Williamsburg, Virginia, USA. The Randolph family was well represented in Virginia politics in the colonial and early republic eras. Peyton Randolph was the colony's attorney general, served as speaker of the House of Burgesses in Virginia and president of the first Continental Congress. This was his family home, in which he was born, and lived in life-long. The first section was built in 1715, with several additions that followed; this is an original building, with restoration.

Wonderful and very interesting continuation of the Williamsburg VA tour. Thanks for that Thad.
See that the Peyton Randolph House is still in a very good condition. The people who did the restoration(s) must had been professionals.

Another handsome bit of architecture, Thad. I live so close, and have only been to VA one time in my life. Excellent shot.

It is good they restore their historical residences Thad. So many have been lost forever in many other towns.
Good angle.

Love the color contrasts between the historic home & it's surroundings. The light & shadow play caught my eye too. Beautifully captured, Thad ... and thanks for the info.
