Charlottesville, Virginia, USA. Monticello, as seen from the south, shows both porticos, the eastern one with its wind vane, and the piazza, Mr. Jefferson's greenhouse. The barrel arches beneath the piazza provided strong support for the room, as it does not have a basement beneath it.

I have never seen such a well-documented and well illustrated series on Caedes before. I wonder, with admiration, how you've gotten all that information and captures together Thad. Anyway my compliments.

You were in education, were you not, Thad? So educating us with your pictures and narratives just comes natural to you, I would say. You do a wonderful job with both. This is a great looking shot of Monticello.

I think JimboB has said it very well Thad.
A series that has been entertaining and informative.
What more could we ask for? Maybe some popcorn.

Are we going to get a pop quiz Thad!!! lol This view of Monticello is magnificent - I was quite impressed with the use of the barrel arches beneath the piazza. The upper portion of the house is a marvelous architecturial achievement. Thanks for this series and your wonderful narratives. Excellent work my friend!!!
