La Jolla, California, USA. In 1931, Ellen Browning Scripps paid for a sea wall to be built atop several rocks, providing a protected area for the children of La Jola to safely swim. Nearby are strong currents, with this area safe from those with the wall. Over time, the area filled with sand and seals selected it as a place to sun, bathe, and birth. Sorry kids, the seals have the run of the place now.

At least it has the "Seal of Approval," if the kids want to return Thad.
I like the vantage point you chose.

You have to look at this full size to see how big this is..and the safety of that sea wall makes a good harbour for swimmers

Good angle on this too

The water looks great especially with all the foaming waves. Well composed shot Thad.

Thad, thanks for this very fine capture showing seals observed by seagulls and by some people.
Seals aren't mad, because they have chosen the best place in the sun. With thanks to Ellen Browning Scripps, lol.
