Point Loma, California, USA. Built in 1854-55, it marked the San Diego Harbor entrance, sited at the top Point Loma at an elevation of 400 feet, the highest of any lighthouse in the US. That height proved to be problematic, as fog would enshroud the light, leaving it not visible to ships. In 1891, it was replaced by a newer light, built at a lower elevation. Today, the lighthouse is a museum, restored to the appearance of when the first keeper and his family lived there.

I like your composition with the inclusion of the tree branch and foreground grass, Thad. Interesting fact about the elevation.

You've captured the lighthouse at an angle I like Thad and the big fella to the left provides scale to the building.✔️

If you can't see the light, then the lighthouse would definitely lose its effectiveness Thad.
It sure is beautiful when you can see it.
Excellent photo.

Happy Easter

Really like the angle and the pine tree adds a lot to the scene - what a magnificent lighting out and the man on the left looks like he would have been a light keeper. Loving your CA travels
