New Paltz, New York, USA Built in 1694-1696 by Louis Bevier, the stone house was purchased by the Eltings in 1760. This British style window replaced a small-paned window by the Eltings. The house is a short distance from my ancestral home, the Abraham Hasbrouck House.

Has the appearance of a pencil drawing and/or a high key image, Thad. Very artistic. As said by some above commenters as well: it's not only a perfect entry for the current contest but one for the Wednesday B&W challenge too!

Very good work, my friend! Wish you anyhow Good Luck with it in the contest.

Thank you Thad, for adding this fine image to the BWC.
I was sure I left a message here yesterday but I must have forgotten to click 'post' because it ain't here :)
For it to be in the BWC you will need to edit your gallery to 'Contests - b/w challenge. That will not afect your entry in the Windows contest.

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust
