This is fascinating and I wish wish WISH I could see the carvings better... but on the other hand, this dark shadow and nailing sun and heat, combined with a relentlessly blue sky, most likely expresses the feel of the place. Great pic.

Wae'l the elements of this image are great, the receeding columns, the play of sun and shadow, the sense of being enclosed by ancient giants, these are all excellent and evocative. The composition could be improved I think, perhaps if the columns were vertically straight and that central pillar sat on the line between right third and middle third. Depth of field is great. Keep it up mate. Mikel.

I agree with Mythmaker. Placing the main subject (the pillar) at the 1/3 point would improve the composition, as would doing a "custom rotate" of about 2 degrees clockwise, then cropping off the rotation background. Great subject matter though. I'd love to be able to wander a site like that unrestrained.

Impressive one expects to see "Indiana Jones" swing from the top of the column. Excellent framing and clarity. I really love this shot. Thanks for sharing.

How beautiful this photo is! The shadows and light are just wonderful! And the soft colours of the sky and the architecture. I also wish I could see the words better, as they are beautiful in themselves also. I would love to see you post a closeup of this. But I love this photo. very nicely done. Verena

Life is so often made up of a little of what we do see--and a great deal of what we do not.
