this photo is a little bland for my taste.
The subject is interesting however the composition leaves a lot to be desired.
Sculpture should make you want to touch it to explore the surface texture.
ok
There's a slight upward Left tilt from level.
Cropping in from the Left border to remove all of the vertical wall, and down from the top, halfway to the head, improves the compositional balance and impact.
There's more detail and a bit of colour available in the statuary if you apply + (positive) Gamma, or if you are trying to silhouette the horse and rider, add additional Contrast and then reduce some of that Gamma until the Base is the right tone.
Personally, I think it's better just correcting the exposure with the +Gamma.
Nice pic!
I would have moved the subject a bit more toward the right, and it's a bit grainy. But I understand, mine get that way sometimes too.
But the subject matter, the lighting, the colors and contrasts. All very nicely done. Keep it up!
P.S. if you get a chance, take a look at my gallery. Any comments, criticisms, advice, etc. on any specific pics would be more than welcome.
