My humble opinion only ...

The front light is a tad harsh. Soften that some, leaving the back lighting intact ... might work towards that of an improvement.

Not sure how much equipment you have at your disposal ... some additional light or fill flash is necessary, I think. Mitigating the shadow under her chin would be at the top of my creative considerations.

You composed this one well. I like the balance and positioning of your subject within frame.

And I do, wholeheartedly ... applaud your creative efforts in pushing yourself to try something new. :o)

Thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)

And the Lord spake, saying, "First shalt thou take out the Holy Pin. Then shalt thou count to three, no more, no less. Three shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be three. Four shalt thou not count, neither count thou two, excepting that thou then proceed to three. Five is right out. Once the number three, being the third number, be reached, then lobbest thou thy Holy Hand Grenade of Antioch towards thy foe, who, being naughty in my sight, shall snuff it."

A softer light and slightly warmer effects would have been better in my thoughts...
But great job nonetheless!

Give sorrow words. The grief that does not speak Whispers the o're-fraught heart, and bids it break.
