I took this at Winnipeg's Assiniboine Park Conservatory. I put the camera against the trunk of the tree (bottom of photo) and pointed it up. I like how this turned out, it's been my desktop for a while now. Hope you enjoy :)

I thought it was a banana tree at first. I like the angle and colors here. Nice shot!

Great view. Looks like it's got aspirations.

Yesterday's history. Tomorrow's a mystery. Today's a gift. That's why it's called the present.

the trunk looks glassy - is this a real palm tree, or is there something around it? (i've never been very close to a palm tree - maybe they are just shiny trees, eh?)
nice angle, cool pic, and a great desktop - good work!

I like this shot with the tree, it is something you usaully see with buildings. You have definitly got me looking at trees in a different way. Good shot.

Thank you all :) I'm not actually sure what kind of tree it is, could be banana or palm. The trunk really is that shiny, I found it so unusual. I've had it on my desktop for a while now, I'm enjoying it too.
The trees in the conservatory have grown -so- much, I only go about once a year or so, and there's a big difference every time. Maybe I'll take the same picture next year and see how it looks :)

Beauty?... To me it is a word without sense because I do not know where its meaning comes from nor where it leads to. ~Pablo Picasso
