Wonderful clarity on this one Terri. He's amazing and I bet it's great to actually see them land. I have to go to the coast to see that ;) Very well done.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Nothing "clumsy" though about this shot Terri. Boy this is a dandy. You do get some great shots of the shore birds where you are. Catching this guy in flight so clearly focused is an outstanding achievement ... I salute you.

Not surprised to hear about its' clumsy landing...this type of bird always seemed clumsy in appearance to me, often being kinda' plump and 'top heavy' with that long bill, like they would take a nose dive if they even attempted to fly...rare shot in flight...great capture.:Pat.
cool image Terri. wonder whats going through his mind at that time... At least he has gear and flaps down...lol. nice clarity and color.. sweet capture....

Picture Purrrfect .
A purrrfect world is what we all want, but, seems too unobtainable. If I've viewed and commented on your post, and you liked my remarks then NO THANKS is needed...just getting to see your wonderful work is thanks enough for me!!
Also BIG thanks to all who check out my work!! I appreciate any and all comments & feedback!!
Wow. You did good capturing this. I mean this is really good. I would have given my right arm if you would have been able to catch him in his bumbling landing. Excellent.

Good work taking the shot. I usually find it hard to take good images of fast moving objects because I always want to take good shots and don't like shotting randomly everything hoping that some of the images end up good :P This one's very good. I like the pelican but I keep my icons on the left :( ....well maybe everybody can mirror the image so no problem :)
I like this image, terri. How were you able to capture this guy in flight? I've been trying to get a decent picture of a great blue, and have yet to get a good picture. The clarity of this shot is amazing!! Lovely feathered pterodactyl!

super presentation of a highly dynamic yet leisurely graceful flight
the bird appears to have just flown into the frame and is making its way across it
damn the resampling done by the servers at caedes so much detail is lost in the jpg artifacting such a shame cos Id love to see it
I've found if you upload the highest quality 1600x1200 jpg you can manage you end up with better results on caedes the last one I did was 2MB ... the server here resamples and its ended up being about 450KBytes being offered to ppl but its retained far more delicate detail than if Id uploaded a smaller file
