At one point while cleaning out back issues of magazines, I posed this little statuette with them and the vase, for a little quiet simplicity. Comments welcome.
The repetitive type, shapes/forms of the magazines, particularly.. are mesmerizing.
Caveats?
Composition.
Thinking.. offset your focal subject off of center, more so.
You could.. crop the right-hand side by approximately 25%.. the end result, at least to my eyes.. brought more focus to that of the statuette itself (ends up on an intersection point; re: rule of thirds).
Going to be bold here, hope you don't mind.. as this is a really good good idea/concept..
Lighting.
If you could accomplish, make use of.. more natural lighting (morning time? open the drapes?.. adjust exposure?) ... would really kick your photo here up a couple notches and then some.
My nonsense above and aside..
A pleasant surprise in and amongst the New Images gallery. And but, of course.. thanks for sharing this one with us. :o)
