They're scattered over the ground under this gnarled old tree like old tennis balls, which they very much resemble. Taken on a farm in Leipers Fork, naturally. Comments welcome.

I love the heart-shaped knot on this old tree, Lesley. The colors in this image are very bright and pretty. I guess crab apples serve a purpose, although I don't know what it would be as they taste so bad. I guess the bees like them as they seem to draw bees after being on the ground a while.
