Who knew you could find one in Pennsylvania? This one is past it's prime for eating, but the choke makes a beautiful burst of purple. Shot with a Canon, tried to fix the lighting a little bit in photoshop. It was too bright for me initially. Hope you like.

You did a good job under tricky lighting conditions. However, of all the artichokes in the world, you are welcome to my share!

In my browsing I spotted this interesting capture, and I do like it :) I didn't realize artichokes were so pretty with that purple flower like bloom. I have yet to find out how to fix one correctly. Great details with those sharp looking parts. Nice to see the other artichoke nearby. Marvelous lighting from the sun. This 'choke' stands out proudly within the surrounding greenery. Now mapbc, I must check out a recipe for its use!

I need to catch up on things so can't comment too much. But I love all of your fine images :)
