Red Rocks Park near Denver, Colorado has been named one of the best concert venues in the world. This incredible open-air amphitheater was designed to preserve the natural beauty of the great sandstone ledges. The massive monoliths act as natural sound walls, creating unparalleled acoustics. The Amphitheater has seen several world-renown acts, including the Grateful Dead, Dave Matthews Band, John Denver and The Beatles. I have been here numerous times but have yet to see a concert...thanks for viewing one of the best places in the world for outdoor concerts! +++++++++ PS You really have to enlarge this to see the inside where the concerts take place

Diane - That is one big sound reflection panel! Seeing sedimentary rock at this steep angle reminds us of the powerful forces of nature. Once an ocean bed, now a mountain side. It looks like you had some nice weather, if the clear blue sky is any indication. Thad

Diane, You did a great job on bringing out the beauty of the rocks. I'm suprised you have not made a concert there my friend, maybe that is something to do one of these days.

That rock formation looks like it's dropped from outer space Diane. Really beautiful, but so other-worldly.
I'd have loved to hear The Dead play here.

Last night I lay in bed looking up at the stars in the sky and I thought to myself, where the heck is the ceiling.
