This guys a little shy, but this image was spontaneous and after it was photoshopped, turned out better than I hoped. Hope you like it.

The subject matter is great, especially the way you captured him. It does seem to be a bit grainy though.

Hello, very nice to meet you. How nice it would be to know your name, any time, as it is just more fun when you know who you are writing to. Thank you. Well, one thing is for sure, it appears as though you were having fun, the sun was out, and it is summer. :o) I do have to agree with the commenter before me, that the photo does appear a bit grainy, but you can overcome this, in your next photo! I might suggest that you purchase a general book on photography, one that is easy to understand, and the problem will be explained in order that you avoid this concern in the future. It is easier than you think, just keep practicing with your camera, reading your material, and things will come, perhaps slowly at first, but will develop for you. Nice to view your work, and don't give up.

Sincerely, Marilyn

I just read the 2 comments above and it seems they don't understand that you probably meant to make it "grainy" when you photshopped it. I like the effects and colors but I'm not to fond of the subject I guess. It does make for an artsy kind of feel. Goodluck with your next photos.

Hi and thanks for the comments. First, good guess, my name is Mary. And second, you are right, I did want the grainy effect so that it would come off looking like a comic book image. I've been taking pictures for the past 28 yrs, but could always learn more about Photoshop imagery.
