Good contrast between sky and land. Here is where the rule of thirds can come in handy. The lighthouse is the focal, so crop so that the lighthouse is 1/3 of the way horizontally. Make the lighthouse occupy vertically 1/3 of the space in the center. 1/3 of the space above it is the sky. 1/3 of the space below it is the land. As an extra put the division between the land and sea in the corner to give a line to the lighthouse. Just my thoughts, but I tried this and the results were pleasing to the eye.
You have a great image here! I downloaded and tried out Jeff's suggestion, as well, and it did show improvement. Of course, art is in the eye of the beholder. But I really like this one.
