What one stubles upon when they take a wrong trail. Discovered this view on the way to Father and Son Lake. Unfortunately it was 3 hours of the wrong way.
How much extra did you pay for that autopilot setting on your camera? ;)- I'm getting that picture behind the picture again of the wife and dogs rolling the eyes. lol
It's easy for us to say it was worth it. Gorgeous day and lighting. I've counted at least 25 beautiful colors all working in harmony in this one so far... Gorgeous. ;)
I love the way you focused the 'valley' of the flowers in the foreground off center to the valley in the mountains.Quite dramatic. The lavender flowers along with the white ones add just what the doctor ordered to makes this photo impressive. I am sorry you were late to where you were going, but obviously, per this image, you were right where you were suppossed to be at the moment! Lovely capture, in my fav's on my HD & thank you & Shannon & anyone who was with you that day! lol :))
At least the 3 hrs was not a complete waste of time. From your various photos I can see it would be real easy to get lost around there, but I really don't think I'd mind. Great capture, Darryl. Perfectly titled!
There is a pleasure in the pathless woods,
There is a rapture on the lonely shore,
There is a society, where none intrudes,
By the deep Sea, and music in its roar,
I love not man less, but Nature more

Thank you Sally...I have the same feelings about this image. I want to study those flowers but also want to discover what is across the valley. Didn't stay long enough however because I was pretty much dancing around like a young lad having to use the washroom when the bugs startied biting;-)
Darryl,
with the three hours detour, I must said it really worth it !
what a magnificence and outstanding photo,
there are four objects in the photo !
1)the light blue sky 2)the blue mountain by far 3)the dark green mountain in front
4)the bright colour of the flower plant in the fore front, wow ! just brilliant ! thanks
This is another one I missed. It's beautiful. I love the framing by the grasses in the forefront. I'm glad you took a wrong turn. I will keep this and it will definitely grace my desktop.

How beautiful!! I have added this one to my favorites. Even though it was 3 hours in the wrong direction look at the gorgeous view. Thanks for sharing.
