*sneaks in behind melissa* ... boo!

Hahaha ... thought you were alone, eh? Doesn't happen here on the site. :)

Now then ...

'K, for me, I think the 'heart' variation is one of the hardest flames to work with in Apophysis. So, you jumped into the fire on this one. (Sorry, couldn't resist the pun.)

Here is a beautiful example of one rendered by our very own and beloved KEIFER (that guy again?).

For me, they always seem to be a little disjointed and too busy. However ...

For making use of the whole space ... bonus marks. Incorporating your talents in PS ... more bonus points. I usually prefer cleaner and more delineated lines. Just a personal preference.

Uhm ... which version are you using? 2.03c? I believe that is the newest and most versatile. A little more control where the transforms (polygons) are concerned. Just an f.y.i..

There are a number of tutorials on the site and if you want to see some fine examples of what can be accomplished visit nnsmith, laurengary, cgImagery, razorjack51, MorpheusZero's works ... to name but a few (to those not mentioned, forgive me Jacqueline, Ann and and and and ...).

Here is where I started out. It gives a very good overview of settings and the process. Good luck and look forward to more. :))

p.s. For a first post in this new medium ... for you ... I'll let you have that 14th badge ... free, and throw in an orange. ;) Nice work. :)

I love this. The heart is perfect...has a very warm & fiery feel to it. Great job.

Oooh, I like the symmetry in the section, yet the disorder on the outer rims compliments that in an unexpected aesthetic manner. Well done.

Ok .. I see that people post all these interesting images from something called Apophysis ... a quick google shows me this is fractal freeware ..it looks like a 'must fool around with' for me.

Uh .. by the way .. the heart looks very good although I find the grid (screen?) texture a little distracting.
