Just my kind of close-up shot, right down my alley. ^_^ I particularly like the placement of the subject and the nice lighting. Good use of DOF too IMHO. ^_^ it enhances just the right places on that flower.

Sweet macro! I love the focus, it's just perfect! I wouldn't know this was a thistle without the title. Very awesome. It's really neat how the closer you get to things in nature the more the patterns of everything show. Nothing is as random as it seems! =) That's almost...deep. Haha...great pic!

I agree almost completely with the above comments. It is very good with the light coming through and the way it is composed. One thing that i don't particullarly like is that the very front of the forground is slightly out of focus due to the depth of field. If that was sharp there and then fadded into the background this would be prefect. Even with that this one i would say is very close to perfect. Nice work.
