I don't know what kind of sparrow he is either, but my guess is that this is an immature bird. I say this because of the stripe down the center of his body and a certain fluffiness to the top of his head. Nice pose, showing him in a typical "Now What Have We Here" attitude!

He is very pretty. Especially enjoy the colors on his chest. A beautiful background as well.
