Here is another attempt at trying to make something from not much. It was a toss up to post this one or the one in color but I sorta liked how the clouds came out. Hope you like it.

Keep playing mate. Often the learning curve is steepest when we are trying to make something out of what we see as nothing, we discover qualities previously obscured by whatever it is we like in the images we normally work on. Great comp, the lamp is very well positioned and the texture in the clouds is fantastic.

Very creative Mike interesting framing too, as mentioned above it would make a nice wall hanging.

This make me think of an old Twilight Zone episode. Nice work, Mike. I like this in black and white.

Very dark and moody. An amazing shot...BW was the perfect way to go with this.

Love this one! Thinking outside the box as they say. Simple yet bold and certainly people take a second look. The dramatic look of the clouds is enhanced by the black and white. And the lamp is the point of interest. Excellent work.

Simple and yet so much drama brought on through the voluminous clouds, Mike! I have looked at your colour version and I much prefer the b&w! I think I would enjoy it more without the framing... but, that's just me :) Contrasts and clarity are superb!
