Many many years ago, I would cut our neighbor's lawn for 25 cents & trimmed it with a pair of scissors (once a week!!) The woman was an artist & painted with oils & always depicted flowers. I deeply admired her. While playing in PSP, this image was created & it reminded me of her paintings tremendously. I have dallied for 3 days before posting, trying to decide if it was any good, & finally realized that I am not the one to make that decision, so I leave it to my fellow cadeans. This image is dedicated to MEG (the artist). She is no longer with us, but her spirit & legacy will live on. :~) Comments & critique welcomed.

Very unique look you have created Mimi...This must be seen full size to appreciate the fine lines that are not visible in the thumbnail. Nice work:-)

Hi Mimi, I adore this image, what a job you have done, and how glad I am that you posted it! It is indeed that of a painting, the textures really do the trick, among other things! I would love to have this framed and hanging on my wall above the fire place. It would lend something that the room doesn't have without it! I offer you my big 10's with pleasure and into my favs! Sincerely, Marilyn

I've dabbled a little with the filters, but never came up with anything so lovely. The highlights, shadows and muted colors really lend themselves to this technique. Well done, Mimi, I'm glad you decided to post.

What a surprise I got when I saw it full screen. The thumbnail doesn’t hint at the true qualities of the image. The colours are fabulous and the texture is quite unique and pleasing. Don’t forget to print and frame, it’s going to look wonderful on your wall.

Wonderful artwork for a desktop. Captured this one for my files :-) Thanks for sharing. I enjoy looking at others' manipulations and getting ideas for ways I can enhance my own images. This is nicely done. The colors are fabulous - reminds me of a table cloth my mother had...sighs wistfully...Love the texture. anne :-)

I've been absent from my friends at Caedes for awhile. Have been busy shooting, writing, learning, and mostly being humbled. I'm back and I look forward to viewing and sharing again. Blessings, anne :-)
