Hah hah! Very awesome shot. I like the use of macro, and it has a nice feeling of depth to it. It's rare to see a fairly unique butterfly pic. Keep it up!

Very good macro shot nice colours and composition is great.Love how you captured the light in the insect eye.I am not saying this will work but if you have this scene again don't go so close it might give you a better result.But that is easy said then done as you have to get the shot quick some times and panic can set in.Will i get the shot or not if you no what i mean lol.

Mmm... good stuff! I took a similar picture 5+ years ago of a butterfly like that... I think it may be a Swallowtail butterfly? Mine also had a chunk missing out of it's wing. I can only assume that maybe a bird had a go at it. Thank you for sharing!... I gave this high marks in the voting booth.
