I do like this shoot simple but so colourful with lovely detail and the feeling of distance and of area that is huge in size's .Well done to a lovely capture.
Really nice shot, Doug. You might try cropping half the sky, from the top border to the top of the bird's head. It will make the primary subject material much more dominant without affecting anything else.
