i just absolutely love train tracks, just something about them, like bridges they have the feel of a physical connection from one point to another that piques your curiosity. this one compose with the mountain is perfect. i like the fact the trees are leafless for this reason. look at the texture of the rust on the rails, added with the gravel's, tan grass on the sides, the color & contrast of all those branches are much better without the greenery in this shot i feel..then huge majestic mountains on both sides of the tracks off set with a curve at the end, leading your eyes to where every your imagination takes you. a picture that just sucks you right in. just one problem here..i wish it were mine..lol! nicely done doug!
Doug, while viewing your very fine image, I hear in my imagination a yodeling sound coming down from the mountains mixed with the sound of the steam whistle of an old locomotive.
Love this posting for other reasons as well my friend. Well done.

Wow this is one beautifully composed photography with lovely depth of field and great looking natural colours and I love the snow topped mountains and blue sky too.
Great perspective and the way that track disappears behind those trees with the distant mountain in view really wets the appetite to board a train and see more...marvellous shot, Doug.
