I encountered this street ballerina on a recent visit to Trieste, Italy. A small amplifier playing classical music, some portable flooring and hat for spare change, was all she had. As always, thank you for looking and leaving a comment.

I wish I was a Glow Worm, a Glow Worm's never glum, 'cause how can you be grumpy, when the sun shines out your bum?

The obvious temptation, would have been to photograph her when she was mid dance, but this is beautiful in its simplicity and elegance.
Was going to say 'to shoot her mid dance', but for some reason, that doesn't sound right... :)

Hope you too dropped some change in the hat Doug. That pose looks good and your capture of it well composed and very clear.

For me 'Grace and perfection' are the key words of this excellent and well balanced composition Doug. Your photograph is art on its own!

My thanks to all who leave comments for my work and to those of you who like one enough to make it a favourite. To touch just one person that way makes each image worthwhile. . . . . . . . . .. . . . "The question is not what you look at, but what you see" ~ Marcel Proust

I didn't know ballerinas did street performance - now that I could get into. Lovely shot - like a graceful swan.

Perfect simplicity leaving the open door for imagining the dance.
Maybe you have some more pics shot in mid dance ...? Even if it does not sound well :)
Perfect down to nail polish which looks so elegant.

As we don't see the face of the ballerina, the eyes focus on the shapes .
