I know that you're lying because I've been to Rochester in winter. Nonetheless I like your photograph. It's a nice combination of light and dark with plenty of contrast and a questionable blue sky which was probably gray before you photoshopped it. Sorry for the misplaced humor. On a 1 to 10 scale, I'd give it a 5 which is average. Anytime I see a photograph that I could have taken, it rates a 5.
i like this shot - as a new photographer it's defiantly something i would of tried, i'm not one you should be taking advice from seeing how i haven't been doing this for long but why don't you try putting it in black and white, i think it would simplify the busy picture. but none the less keep photographing :) best of luck
There is a lot going on in the photograph. Which, artistically may be how you want it to be perceived. You may try doing this shot in a monochrome or something interesting with a color filter, just to give it a twist. At this point, it comes off as a "look up and shoot" kind of result. So perhaps there is a way to make it more interesting after the fact.
