Vervet Monkey - Height : 100cm - 130cm (male), 95cm - 110cm (female), and weigh between 4 - 5.5kg. Characteristic of the Vervet Monkey is the black face with the white stroke above the eyes. They usually live in groups of 20 or more, but depends on the availability of food. There is a clear hierargy in each group. They are day living, where they spend most of the time on the ground looking for food etc, sleeping in trees at night. Although mostly vegaterian they would also eat small insects and even newly hatched birds. Enjoy!

MONKEY! He's sooo cute! Thanks for all the information on them, too... I love knowing what I'm looking at. :-) The lighting is wonderful (he must be under a tree or something?) and I really enjoy the way you've framed this. Thanks for sharing!

Hello Marietha....A very sharp well taken picture of this monkey.....I like the way you have gone down to the same level of the animal..... Seeing the subject's point of view, can give you an extra creative spark which will lead to better photographs....Well done....All the best...Mick..
