Went for a drive yesterday morning, and caught these two Nile Crocodiles in the Crocodile River, where it forms the border between the Kruger National Park and Malelane. They were so lazy and the front one seems to be catching a tan with his hind legs stretched out like that. I had to zoom in quiet a lot, as we were standing on a bridge, so the focus is not that good, but what awsome animals, I just had to show them to you. Hope you enjoy!

Wow fantastic shot !! I remember that area well, we lived in Swailand and often drove to Nelspruit passing the Malelane gate even went into the park a few times from there, but never saw any crocs this close up !! Thank you for this great shot..

Hello Marietha, what an apt title for your image. That croc definitely looks like he's going for deep bronze. I like the way you've caught colour of the sky in the water and it makes a great contrast to the orangey-brown of the mud. Amazing shot - it looks like you were standing right there in the river with those 'orrible critters.

This is not blurry at all Marietha. It's clear and we see the crocs fine. These are strange creatures, that's for sure. Beautiful shot.

I was sure hoping you were somewhere where it was safe. Watched these buggers on National Geo the other night and they are fast and can snatch you up before you know it. Good capture.

Oh my..they look fat & sassy. Wonder if something fell off the bridge and that's why they're smiling-gulp! Good detail-can see all the ridges on the crocs. Lots of good brown mud goes well with their croc skin. I'm always fascinated by these creatures and thanks Marietha, for sneaking up on these two :))
