Marietha this is beautiful. This shade of two-tone color is so unusual and you've captured it with perfect clarity and a lovely frame. Excellent post and thanks for sharing it.
Can't always give individual thanks but I am so appreciative of everyone's comments and input. I truly enjoy seeing all of your posts and am always happy to see you at My Gallery. Thanks, Anita
Lovely capture Marietha ... we have some Hibiscus in our backyard and they are still weakly trying to bloom this late in the year. Probably due to the unusual spell of warm weather of late. They are stubbornly trying to resist the inevitable. Anyway they certainly don't look anything like this beauty you've posted. Nice job.
The colors are melting my screen... they're so vivid and beautifully captured. The hibiscus is a flower I've loved since I lived in Phoenix AZ, USA...don't miss the heat though..and of course you're experiencing spring there in the southern hemisphere, and it will be nice to see your sizzling spring and summer flower pictures as we huddle together around winter fires, chattering our teeth and gathering warmth from the uploads you send :) While the clarity on the flower is perfect...just right to show this giant lovely off to its full advantage, I can't say as I care for the background, and it's just a personal preference of mine. The solid color on the left, IMHO, clashes with the more clearly seen background toward the middle just behind the beginning of the flower (including that bit of brown just below the hibiscus) but then it smoothes out into the lovely blurred green on the right. It's not to say that I don't like seeing the stem and the leaves..I think I'd either like to see them as a part of the presentation, or faded a bit more. I feel there's a little too much busyiness here because it would take a lot to detract from that most glorious of blossoms that you've presented here. I'm in a particularly picky mood tonight, so bear with me :) I really do like the image on the whole :)PJ
Beautiful colors and composition. I still can't get my mind around the idea that it is spring elsewhere in the world right now. What an amazing creation this universe is! I could hop on a plane and land in another season. Thanks so much for posting this fresh, new blossom for us to enjoy. I love the framining also.
The color is so amazing, Marietha, and your composition is grand - what a beauty and a very pleasing border. And yes, it's a treat to know our planet is on course so we can all have a turn at the seasons!
I would rather live my life as if there is a God and die to find out there isn't, than live my life as if there isn't and die to find out there is.
