Watching this image does me feel the tension Marietha. Good image of indeed a quiet place.

Marietha, your image has a very good composition in my opinion: the positions of the trees, the building and esp. the road are in harmony. The lighting and sharpness are pretty good. The building is rather shabby and evidently very old. The whole area -building included- seems to be desolate and forgotten. Evidenced by the appearance of the grass and the scattered things on the ground, the place is not well looked after. All these, combined with the clouds in the sky convey a rather gloomy mood to the viewer. I think it's a powerful image with good technique! Well done!

This does look like it needs a Spring clean! I think it is sad to allow buildings go to ruin, when they could be used for something else instead. Somehow though the trees around it give a feel of life and of what once was. You have caught this well.

I've seen to many "scary" movies lately!! :-)

Looks like the competition won out here! I wish we had some of that around these parts.

Nice photo and well composed.

We don’t make art to show someone what something looks like. All this requires is eyes (or a lens). Art is supposed to have meaning, emotion, power, or magic. Alan & Mario "FourThirds"

Well done, an intriquing image... I wonder what this place once was, a busy little shop perhaps? Nicely captured Marietha:)

I love to find abandoned structures like this. This is a great find. Wonder what stories it could tell if it could talk? Great post.

Seems a little spooky to me, Marietha. Makes for an interesting image never the less.
