i like colors and shadows of this picture. where did you take this photo?

Cool subject and black and white pics are always interesting. Shadows are nice but it would be perfect if the cow's face was just a little clearer.

A really interesting subject. I agree with a previous comment though that it might be a little better if the calf's face was easier to see. But then to do that you would have to find that calf and get it to lie down and smile just-like it is doing now and that could be hard to accomplish. So let's just say it is almost perfect and leave it at that. Thanks for sharing, Math King :o)

To be honest I enjoy the lighting on this capture and how it has the misty haze. The shadows are interesting with the subject nicely centered.

Not sure if you intentionally wanted to present a 'faceless' victim ... with regards to the lighting. However, I can suggest a free image editing program that at the bare minimum you will have at your disposal.

Widely used on the site here by a number of members, and some heavyweights too ... go here for Photofiltre.

For your image here, you could easily make some adjustments in contrast, that is ... if you are not taking some artistic licence.

Really a great idea.
