I've been here a while... This is my first contribution, though :)

Those stones are by far older than the vikings. ;) (If I don't remember it wrong its from the same period as the great monolith were erected in Europe during the era of the Great Migration. (Wasn't that like the Bronze Age?))

Anyway. :) I really like this shot. And I love this place! :) Ale stones are at a truly beautiful place. The colors and balance here are very nice and the dark skies really adds to the composition. Too bad about the people beyond the stones... But it's damn near impossible to get a shot from places like this and not get peaple in it. ^_^

kjh000: You're write about them being way older than the Vikings... There are a lot of varying opinions on when they were erected, from 3600 BCE to 600 CE... which is before the age of the Vikings. I had to photoshop it slightly to add some color. It was a lot duller the day I was there!

Very nice. The fence spoils it a bit but nothing much you can do about that.
