Good end to a great series Sasquatch. I like the shadows in this as well. I always thought of this song every time you posted one about Sand Hill. Good work.

Thanks for this wonderful series Ed. It seems to be that the cranes are departing after saying us goodbye. This image creates a great atmosphere!

This has to be my favorite of all your crane shots. I really love the almost black and white quality to the image, the tonal range and contrast is great and i love the positioning of the cranes as they wander away. The speckled shadow of the trees makes it look so peaceful.

Great action capture Ed. Looks like the cranes have had it with the picture taking, their leaving, lol. Love the lighting and shadows caught in this one & thanks for your fabulous sandhill cranes series.

I really like the lighting in this one. It's like the end of a movie, where the main characters fade into the sunset. Very nice.

I do not photo shop any of my photos. The odd one may be slightly cropped!!! They are as I have taken them. NO touching up!!!

Well, you had a nice long visit with them at any rate. This almost looks b/w and shows they don't seem to be in much of a hurry. Nice shot, Ed.

Love the shadows and the way they're wandering off... somehow it makes for a satisfying end to your lovely crane images...
