Ah! Fort Foster at last, viewed from the bridge. What! no one to greet me after that long journey? At least the Seminoles had a greeting party, or was that a war party? I don't really remember after drinking all that firewater. I might be mistaken but that sure looks like a cannon pointed in my direction. ---To Be Continued---

It looks like we actually stepped back in time Huck with the coloring. This has been a great tour. I think I would have turned the Seminoles loose on those tourists and got rid of them. lol Very nice series you have going.

Looks like a really great place to visit, Ed. Maybe that's a movie camera pointed at you. It's the latest fashion in all the big cities, oh, but they wouldn't have had that back then. Though a fort probably was like a mini-city. I like the sepia to make us think of this as being 'back then'. Now, I am truly anxious to see the inside of the fort.

Ed, I really like the sepia presentation ... gives the image an aged look as if the scene was actually in the 1800's. Great lighting too & the composition is spot on. Wonderful work.

I love the coloring you have done to this...Really sets the mood for the era in time. I'm with Ron on the tourists.....Set those Seminoles loose with a clone brush and let them get rid of "em.
Great series and looking forward to more.

Well I'll be flumberbusted. You finally get to the fort, and you have gone through a time warp, and taken back to the 1800's it looks like to me. Foster...F...I bet that's where the F Troop did that TV show. Watch out for the Hakowies. LOL. Excellent shot, ED. I love the old time looks.

Are you sure Ed that this image is taken in this century?.
Think the firewater has made you slightly nervous about that cannon. Think however it isn't loaded, but I can't give you any guarantee, lol.
Great series my friend!

Love the antique look of this capture of the Fort. Love the Fort & looks like it's a fun place to go. Thanks for the journey Ed. Don't get lost getting back, lol

Have to tell you we had a horse barn made to look like a old fort just like that, even with the tower. Our horses loved it.

Love this shot... I've seen lots of drawings of forts like this but this image really strikes me... On the face of it, it must have seemed a flimsy protection to the soldiers and civilians inside. But that was all part of the process of living on the frontier, whether it was here in Florida or out in the Dakota Territory.
