This large old oak tree was surrounded by tall pines. I thought it kind of looked like it was behind bars. ==Panasonic DMC FZ18==

This makes me think of this Alan Jackson song.
It looks like that tree in the middle is being imprisoned for some crime unknown to me. I say FREE HIM..FREE HIM.. LOL. Nice shot, Ed.

When people are imprisioned for some crime, in most situations there's some hope that this situation will end sooner or later. For this oak tree this hope doesn't exist. Think however it isn't aware of this situation, but I'm not sure as I know people who are talking against trees, lol.
One must have an eye for this to capture this pretty rare situation. Very good work Ed, well done!

I really like the visual imagery captured. Straight and narrow verses curvy and wide. Maybe they are guarding the majestic old oak! Wonderful!

Very nice capture and a great eye. Represented very well and an excellent presentation. Love what the eye can see if you just let it.

Faved this one Huck. It lets the imagination do the work after a little kick start. I will go out on a limb and say the Oak is innocent.

Wonderful capture Ed & a good eye to spotting this scene. The old oak does look imprisoned ... I think it's planning an escape route though. Love the tesyures & colors. Very well done.

They look kind of prickly and forbidding all standing at attention... The old oak may be imprisoned but I don't think it's down and out... and are those palmettos I see down on the right side?
