Wonderful post Ed. Does me wonder if you were standing in the river as well to capture this post. Suppose however that you were using a telelens at a large focal lenght as the heron didn't pay any attention to you. Another possibility is that it has seen you that many times down by the river that it got used to you, lol.
Well done mate!
Regards, Cornelius.
So you have a Blue Heron Suit.?
Good Color And Clarity on this fellow Ed.
Man...That is some Algae Bloom for this early in the Year.
That's a Sign of an Early Hurricane Season. BAD NEWS!
This Image GRABBED my EYE. That's Why I Stopped By.
Thanks For Sharing ! Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience
Leave it to EJ, to bring bad news. LOL. The good new is, that you have a really good picture of that heron. Now....let's see one in action, where it is catching a fish. LOL.
Looks like he is up to his knees in his work Huck. I know they don't have knees, but they don't have elbows either. This would have made a good positive, negative space entry. So clear and the colors are perfect.
Nice post.
He / she sure looks like it's concentrating on its next prized meal. Love how the gray blue colors of the heron contrast with the green surroundings. Very nicely captured Ed.
Oh he's really pretty. I wouldn't walk where he did though. Lost my lens cap in a place like this once. Took my shoes off to wade in and find it and sank several inches into the soft mud. Of course, if it meant dinner or not as it does to him, I might have reconsidered. Well take image of a bird I hope I one day get to see for real.
The water must be deep, it seems to be almost up to his arse. And he looks like he's really concentrating on dinner. He looks grand surrounded by all that green... Are those lily buds poking up from the water?
